ARTIST STATEMENT

My current work focuses on semi-abstract paintings. In my art, I want to establish a communication, a sensual love, a tie knot between the viewer and my work. I want the public to catch the subject and interpret it at a glance. It is my intention to furnish the viewer with hints so they can develop a story or stories themselves through the composition, colours, brushstrokes, shapes and rhythm. I create art; the public creates the stories with names and the titles. If they succeed in this, then my concept has been clearly transmitted and communication has been accomplished.
I am currently working on large canvases to create a series of dancers, showing the gestures and movements through forms, shapes, curves and colours. In my art, I attempt to delight the viewers with my work. My aspiration is to make the viewers stop and look at my work to release them from any distresses they might have for that moment and allow them to leave on a good note.
